Day One - Vegas Baby!

Thanks to Sandra and Pat for the lift to the station - yes one of those bags belonged to Phoebe.

What can you say - after 1 million hours travelling ... no I am not kidding, at least that is how it felt ... we learnt a lot of things.
* Phoebe is too long for the flight bassinet .. lots of sleeps in everyone's arms.
* Phoebe has learnt to catnap for 10 minutes and that fuels her for the next hour ;-)
* if anyone is transitting to an internal flight in the States, they don't let you take your carry on duty-free alcohol - so we have contributed 2 bottles of booze to the customs' crew Christmas Party - so pleased for them ... not

* it apparently takes another 2 hours once you land to catch the bus, queue and finally get your rental car.
* the apartment we are staying in is fabulous - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, dining table, full kitchen.
*Andy was brave and drove from the airport, with much coaching by Amanda "a little to the left Dad ... more to the left ... you are in the gutter" and each statement was in a little higher tone ... pretty good considering we all felt like rubbish.
*Phoebe is gorgeous now on two countries - everyone loves a baby even the security guards at the airport.

* Three mile drive from Walmart - Amanda and Kurt grabbed dinner for us last night after their trip to the Marriage Licence office which is open 6am - midnight - 365 days per year.  $60 (US) for the licence.

Wedding morning now, 2 showers down, one in progress, very excited wedding party. The "do" is at 10 am.

Pre-Wedding Organisation

Well, in less than 48 hours we will be on a jet plane heading for Vegas baby!  Amanda, Kurt and Phoebe are arriving Saturday late afternoon, afternoon tea with Marg, dinner with Sandra and on Sunday morning Pat and Sandra are going to be our chauffeurs and take us all to the station to catch the 8.06 am train to the airport.

I have empty bags laid out on each spare bed and am about to start filling them.  And yes, oh yes, will include my credit card for this trip, unlike the fiasco in China.

We arrive on 29th October, and once we have settled into the Apartment, Amanda and Kurt will duck off to the Court House, lodge the papers while Andy, Phoebe and I get over the jet lag.  It might be a case of Andy sleep while I watch Phoebe and then his turn.  I am sure we will be a great tag team.

The Wedding is going to be at the Graceland Chapel, but not an Elvis celebrant, just a regular one.  Yes there will be photos.  Attached is my Mother of the Bridge outfit.
